This particular Dracula is a complete redesign using the book type from Gutenburg.com. Dracula is particularly tricky in the sense that it is composed of diary entries, letters, and a mess of other notes. I devised a simple system to organize the content and make things easier to read. The edges of the book are hand torn as well as the signatures are hand bound.
The Help Artist Book started as a simple challenge to create a story out of square images cut out of random magazines. The images came first and the message followed after that. The message of the Rwanda Genocide victims is portrayed through simple imagery and contemporary uses of type.
Kristen’s Kittens is made for people passionate about their friendly cats. The goal of Kristen’s Kittens is to create a fun easy was to either spoil your feline friend or find a new one. They focus on connecting the public with breeders who specialize in the friendlier breeds of cats. There is also a store were toys, towers, food, and potties can be purchased. The colors are a soft to promote the friendly cat feeling of the site and app.
Hook, Line, and Keep Him is a wry commentary on vintage cookbooks and their specified gender rolls. It focuses on three major sections: Game Day, Date Night, and His Sweet Tooth. All three sections play off of generic moments that a woman would cook for her partner. The illustrations are kept quirky to showcase the irony behind the book while also representing the more fun side of cooking for a partner.
